Privacy Policy

1. General provisions

This policy describes what personal data is processed when you use promnotch.com (the “Site”) and the PromNotch app for macOS (the “App”), why, and how it is protected.

The data controller is The PromNotch project (the “Operator”). Contact for personal data matters: Telegram @face7244.

Processing is carried out in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”. By using the Site and submitting forms, you confirm that you have read this policy.

2. Data processed on the Site

• email address — when placing an order or contacting support;
• name, message text and order number — when contacting support;
• order details: chosen plan, amount, date, payment status, payment ID, the license key issued;
• technical data: IP address and browser information — in server logs and to protect forms from abuse.

The Operator never receives or stores bank card details: payment is completed on the payment provider's page.

3. Data in the App

The App requires no account and contains no analytics or advertising trackers. Everything it works with stays on the user's computer:

• speech for dictation is recognised on the device; audio and text are not sent to the Operator or third parties;
• dictation history is stored in a file on the user's computer and erased with a button in settings;
• clipboard history is kept in memory only and never written to disk;
• calendar events, reminders, notes and shelf files are read locally and sent nowhere;
• the license key is verified without a network connection.

The App goes online only in two cases: to download the speech model — when the user presses “Download” in dictation settings — and to check for updates, which can be turned off in settings. The server the files come from receives the IP address and the App version, as with opening any web page.

4. Purposes

• concluding and performing the contract: accepting payment, issuing the license key, sending the key and the receipt;
• answering support requests and handling refund requests;
• complying with tax accounting obligations;
• keeping the Site secure and preventing abuse.

5. Legal basis

Performance of a contract to which the user is a party, compliance with legal obligations, and the user's consent given when submitting a form.

6. Sharing with third parties

Data is shared only to the extent necessary for the purposes above:

• the Platega payment service — order details to process the payment;
• the email delivery service — your email address and the message with the key;
• the hosting provider whose server runs the Site.

Data is never sold or shared for advertising.

7. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. Your browser may store only the Site design you selected. If analytics is added, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.

8. Retention

Order records and issued keys are kept for the period required by tax law. Support requests — 1 year after the last message. Server logs — no longer than 30 days.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS only. Order and request files are accessible only to the Site's server process. The key for an order is shown only by its order number, known to the buyer.

10. Your rights

You may request information about the processing of your data, its correction or deletion, or withdraw your consent by messaging Telegram @face7244. We reply within 10 business days. Deletion does not affect data the Operator is legally required to keep.
